The Common Furniture Beetle is responsible for 70% of all woodworm damage in the UK. This beetle attacks softwoods and hardwoods. All woodworm damage can be attributed to woodworm larvae tunneling out from the wood. This can seriously damage the wood and may lead to timbers being renewed!
TREATMENT FOR WOODWORM INFESTATION
Once the type of beetle causing the damage has been identified it is easily treatable. Our most popular treatment is to douse affected areas with organic boron (which is a water based product). This kills woodworm larvae, which could otherwise lay dormant for years.
